The
Map
The purpose of the original idea to create a map was to spatially locate colors over the Los Ríos region, in the place where they were collected. This map was presented at the XXVIII International Geography Congress (SOCHIGEO), in Valdivia, in May 2023. As the project progressed, in-depth conversations were held about how territorial and representative were the colors that had been collected. A team member said that possibly, all the colors were to be found everywhere, just in different amounts and depending on many variables. This is how the present map was born, where a color chart interacts freely with satellite photos of the territory and color units integrated into the geographic textures, resulting in creative combinations. Printed map size: 2,0 m x 1,3 m (78.74 in x 51.18 in).
